Completed over four and a half months of design and just eight weeks of construction, this bathroom transformation proves that thoughtful design can have a significant impact, even within a modest renovation budget. With a decisive client and a straightforward construction process free of major unforeseen conditions, the project moved efficiently from concept to completion.
The design focused on improving both function and everyday comfort. A large built-in tub was replaced with a freestanding soaker, creating a lighter, more spacious feel. The shower was enlarged to include a built-in bench and niche, heated floors to add year-round comfort, and a redesigned vanity with generous drawer storage to provide a more practical daily experience.
Material selections prioritized durability and functionality without sacrificing character. While many finishes were chosen for their performance, subtle details elevate the design. The shaped vanity backsplash introduces a sculptural element that echoes the curves of the cabinet hardware and arched faucet, creating cohesion through understated repetition.
The result is a bathroom that feels warm, intentional, and timeless. What was once a basic, builder-grade space from 2006 has been transformed into a thoughtfully designed retreat that reflects how the homeowner live today, demonstrating that beautiful design is not defined by the size of the budget, but by the care behind every decision.
